With a family history of public service, including generations of teachers, Castine Candle Company is dedicating a percentage of its online sales to Candles for a Cause. Each quarter, we will choose a nonprofit to receive the proceeds, and we invite your ideas! We review all requests and select a choice few.

Dempsey Center for Hope & Healing The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing is an integral part of cancer care at The Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and affiliated cancer clinics at Bridgton and Rumford hospitals. Located on the CMMC campus, the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing provides support, education, and health promotion for those touched by cancer.   The Castine Candle Company has joined the Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing.  For every Hope Collection Castine Candle purchased, a donation will be made to the Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing. New England Society  The New England Society is one of the oldest charitable organizations in the United States. Founded in 1805 for the purpose of promoting "friendship, charity, and mutual assistance," today the Society funds a Scholarship Program for New York City students attending New England Colleges and Universities. The Society celebrates New England heritage through its charitable works and social activities for members and guests.   The Castine Candle Company has joined the New England Society in the City of New York in helping underprivileged students to have access to higher education. For every Lighthouse Castine Candle purchased, a donation will be made to the New England Society Scholarship Program.
